Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update

What safety measures have been implemented for team members and customers?
49 Below is committed to providing a safe work environment and has implemented many new procedures. Kitchen and delivery team members are being provided masks, gloves, hand sanitizers and daily guidance and training on how to effectively use these items. All kitchen is frequently disinfected with extra measures for high-traffic/touch areas. We developed a model that would ensure our team could practically practice social distancing and include safety precautions that go beyond the CDC and local health authority guidelines. Our practices include, but are not limited to, a strict stay at home policy for anyone experiencing symptoms, mandatory health and temperature checks at the start of each shift.

Shipping Information

Do you ship ice cream?
We currently offer local delivery and pickup options only.

When will my order be delivered?
For pickup orders, we will always aim to have them at the pickup location during the next business day. For delivery orders, we will be in touch to set up a delivery time that works. Pint Club orders are delivered during the first full week of a month. An email to select your 2 hour time window will be emailed to you about one week prior to delivery

Where do you deliver?
Our delivery area spans from Langford to Sidney and everything in between.

Do you deliver to a P.O. Box?
We do not ship to P.O. boxes. A physical address is required in order to deliver perishables.

Do I need to be home to get my delivery?
We do not include dry ice in our orders, so it is recommended that you are home during delivery and to get the pints into the freezer as quickly as possible to prevent unwanted thawing.

Does delivery need a signature?

Do you accept returns?
All ice cream orders are final. Your ice cream order is always backed by our "Melt-Free Guarantee." If your ice cream doesn’t arrive frozen, we’ll redeliver your order and do what we can to make it right. To contact us regarding your 49 Below order, please email us at:

Does 49 Below cater private events and weddings?
YES! We’re so excited that you would think of us to be a part of your big event. Whether you’re tying the knot, hosting a corporate retreat, or throwing a party for friends, give your guests the unbelievable. After all, life's too short for ordinary ice cream. We're currently able to accommodate catering requests in Victoria, BC only. Please contact us at with your request.

Can 49 Below donate to my non-profit or fundraiser?
Please email us with your donation requests. Due to the high volume of requests, we are only able to reply to those that we're able to accommodate. Thank you for your understanding.
