The dog days of summer are well upon us. Unpredictable heat waves come and go, yet without fail, each year our saving grace returns. You guessed it… National Ice Cream Day. Grab a spoon and we will show you how to celebrate, 49 Below style.
Sundaes on a Sunday
People usually start their day with a hot cup of joe, but what better way to end the week than with some Vietnamese coffee, topped with chocolate chips and a little caramel drizzle. Or, for a refreshing mid-day snack, dig into the always classic Vanilla Bean, and load it up with some strawberries, blackberries, and even a maraschino cherry to seal the deal. When it comes to ice cream sundaes the topping possibilities are endless.
Picture this, you’re home from a long day of work or school, in your sweats and in desperate need of a pick-me-up, but there is no way you are heading out that door again. Well you are in luck my friend. It’s like Christmas morning every 30 days when you subscribe to 49 Below’s monthly membership. I’m not talking about just your run of the mill flavours… I mean honeycomb, matcha and Strawberries and cream, just to name a few. Surprise an ice cream loving pal, or treat yourself!
Make a day of it
Break into our ice cream sandwiches on the breakwater. Pack up the kids, dog, or even meet up with a friend. Head to the freezer section of The Rootcellar, Pepper’s Grocery, or whichever one of our retailers that is closest to you before hitting up one of your favourite spots to enjoy a healthy dose of mint chocolate chip or Fatso peanut butter.
Did someone scream happy hour?
Fire up the blender, it’s boozy milkshake time! Let’s keep it simple though this time. All you need is a few scoops of the legendary chocolate (or whichever 49 Below flavour tickles your fancy) a shot… Or two of Bailey’s and a few dashes of chocolate sprinkles. Well done, you deserve it, now put it back and signal the bartender to fire up another.
Whether it's two-handing a sandwich, eating straight from the pint or adding some extra curriculars, we won't judge. Just do what you have to do.
